“But Doc, I Don’t Hurt Anymore. Why Am I Still Coming In?”

“But Doc, I Don’t Hurt Anymore. Why Am I Still Coming In?”

If you are like most chiropractic patients, you would have never set foot in our office unless you had some symptom or symtpoms, which become so unbearable you could no longer ignore them. Then we examined you and the cause of your symptoms. In other words, we found the problem: vertebral subluxation (spinal misalignment causing nerve irritation). And in many cases we found your problem had been there for many years.

So why is there such a long time between the onset of the problem and your awareness of it?

Quite frankly, your body is so well-equipped for keeping itself functioning that it often does not use it’s energy to warn you of small, developing problems.

Unfortunately, most diseases are a process, which begins with a small developing problem, which worsens over months or years….and they go undetected until you become aware of the damage that has been done.

Consider this list of conditions, which may have few or no symptoms until their end-stages:

Arrythmia Coronary artery disease Polycystic kidney

Artherosclerosis Diabetes Mellitus Polycythemia

Atrial Fibrillation Diverticular disease Polyps of large bowel

Atrioventricular block Emphysema Prostate cancer

Benign prostatic hypertrophy Encephalitis (viral or aseptic) Pulmonary valve stenosis

Breast Cancer Fibroid tumors of uterus Pyelonephritis (chronic)

Carcinoid syndrome Glomerulonephritis Renal Calculi

Cardiomyopathy Hyperbilirubinemia Renal failure (chronic)

Cervical erosion Hypertension Retinoblastoma

Cervical spondylosis Osteoarthritis Scoliosis

Cervical cancer Osteoporosis Tooth decay

Colorectal cancer Ovarian cyst Tuberculosis

Vertebral Subluxations are often just as silent…and just a deadly, since subluxations literally interrupt the commmunication between your brain and body.

Therefore, since subluxations are both silent and deadly we want you , as our patient, to be committed to three goals:

1. Following your care plan until your subluxations are corrected (and not stopping one you “feel a little better”).

2. Maintainin your corrections through regular chiropractic maintenance visits and other positive health choices.

3. Telling others you know about getting checked for vertebral subluxation, even if it means they have no symptoms.
